Ken Hankins of Shiloh Pottery has been teaching kids' clay classes for 30+ years. Ken holds a Masters Degree in Ceramic Art Education from Alfred University.

Shiloh Pottery has a large, well-equipped studio located on a farm in Carroll County. Your child will be doing many exciting clay projects such as: flower pots, log cabin bird houses, creature sculptures, dishes, trivets, masks, piggy banks, slab pots, cups, bowls, wind chimes, and Noah's arks with animals.

During the Kids' Clay Class, each child will get to "throw" on the potter's wheel at least once each class with assistance. Older children with more experience may choose to attend theWheel Class.

Children receive instruction on types of glazes and glaze their own pottery.

Classes are offered Saturday mornings during the fall and spring, and occasionally during the week in July.
(dates sometimes are subject to change)
Cost is $100 per child for four classes.
Price includes instruction, clay, glazing and firing.

Call to arrange special one-time classes for small groups (10 or less). Perfect for Cub Scouts, Girls Scouts, Home Schoolers, Vacation Bible School, Preschool groups, etc.

Please call for more information and the current schedule, or to visit (410-239-8888).
